Here's my delivery story.. Every labour story is different and unique, so here's mine 😊
From the date I confirmed the happiest news I just wanted to deliver normally.. So I spent my time on reading and researching how to deliver baby normally ..
I even consulted a physiotherapist for prenatal exercises for easing delivery.. After 8th month I regularly started doing those exercises such as kegels, squats, pelvic floor, cat & camel postures, etc.. Walked daily for about 45 minutes.. 🤗
But the fate was different..on October 14,2017 (that is the estimated due date) morning I felt a small pain on my lower back.. It lasts for few minutes.. After 3 hours again I felt that pain for few minutes.. I was quite brisky, was dancing in slow steps (my hobby even when am pregnant 😋) ..
Earlier doctor said that if you didn't feel any contractions, go for scan, then we'll proceed further on your due date ..
Then we went for scan and it was mentioned clearly that the amniotic fluid level is very poor and umbilical cord loosely surrounding baby's neck..😑 Again by evening 6.30 PM we rushed back to the hospital, then doctor said it's risky to wait for normal delivery and insisted for c-section..🤐
I didn't expect this at all 😏my mom literally started to weep.. Then I didn't wanna show my distress to her and I started to console her nothing to worry..
Then a nurse came and she started to prepare me for the c-section.. Took me to the operation theatre .. Heartbeat was very fast.. Panicked me a lot to see the OT environment...
and my lower back pain was gradually increasing.. An anesthesiologist came and asked me to bend for spinal injection.. She talked in a soft manner.. She just diverted my mind by asking my name, my career, my age, any previous surgeries, etc..
After that, a nurse strapped my hands on both sides.. (I was literally broken down in 😱 fear) and tied my eyes with a cloth 👀 .. I just asked them not to tie.. But they didn't 😫..
But I can able to hear what they were talking.. As my lower body was numb due to spinal anaesthesia, I was awake and alert.. I could able to feel those stitches .. 😌
Think so, by 8.55 PM, the doctor said she was about to take my baby.. AND THE SWEET SOUND OF CRYING.. That's a BABY GIRL 👶 I asked them to show my baby to me, a midwife untied the cloth in my eyes .. Nurse brought my baby near to me, I gave my first kiss to her 😘.. My mind was thinking about my mom and my hubby how they'll be excited on seeing my little one .. 😍😍
Then nurses shifted me to my room.. My hubby talked in an excited manner.."our baby is so cute..she has a round face like her mom and has nose like her dad 😋" .. My dad wiped off the tears on my eyes 🤗, I felt so happy and emotional at the same moment ..
Later body started showing what is called PAIN 😵 I couldn't sleep properly.. after two days nurses made me to walk (which was really painful after two days of complete bed rest)..
Huh.. Cesarean mothers are really brave.. It's not at all an easy task.. What makes it easy is that in 30 minutes baby can be delivered unlike a painful vaginal birth.. 😪 But postnatal pain?? 😵 Recovery after c-section was little bit tough for me..but
All those pains are gone after seeing my MEEmaa @Meenurathna 😍😘😘😘😘
The bond that lasts forever 😍
